General Mandate

To ensure peace and order by making certain that all local and international laws, declaration and ordinances relative to the protection of lives and properties are enforced

To investigate and prevent crimes especially those involving foreign nationals

To exercise the general powers to make arrest, searches and seizures in accordance with the Constitution and other pertinent local and international law and detaining arrested persons for a period not beyond what is prescribed by law, informing persons so detained of all his/her rights under Constitution

To bring such criminal offenders to justice and assist in their prosecutions

To assist, escort and provide security to both local and foreign dignitaries and citizens both here and abroad

To assist the government in humanitarian, socio-civic and peacekeeping operations

To be a catalyst for social development through socio-civic and economic development programs and projects
